Management Team

George Gundling became president and CEO of SSi in November of 2008. George brings more than 25 years of experience in technology and senior-level business technology leadership to SSi. His previous roles include leading the development of the award winning business intelligence system at Frito-Lay North America, heading up IT for Frito-Lay International, and leading the Enterprise Technology function for PepsiCo U.S.A. George started his IT career With EDS. His understanding of the unique IT related business challenges faced by small to middle market companies verses Fortune 500 companies has helped in positioning SSi to deliver business solutions of impact. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bethany College, West Virginia.

Bruce Hall joined SSi in September 2006 to provide senior-level financial guidance for the growing company. Bruce adds expertise in public company management, financing and strategic planning gained from financial management positions in the real estate development, energy, consulting and manufacturing industries. Bruce served as both CFO and CEO at RG America, as well as sitting on the board of directors. His previous senior-level positions include Recognition Equipment, Inc., Harris Adacom Corporation and Probex Corporation, as well as senior financial and management consulting with a multi-family housing developer. Bruce began his career in public accounting with Arthur Young & Company, a predecessor of Ernst & Young LLP. He holds CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designations and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

Prakash Vyakaranam came to SSi in March 2007 to expand the Company’s technical leadership as Vice President and CTO. He has over 15 years of Microsoft Windows as well as unix based systems experience especially in the telecom, retail, financial and insurance sectors. Prakash further adds to the Company’s wide ranging hardware and operating systems knowledge. Prior to joining SSi, Prakash completed several assignment at EDS focusing on software development. He has also designed a range of software for engineering firms. Prakash received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Nagarjuna University, India and Master’s in Engineering from University of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bill Cage joined SSi in January 2009 to focus on Sales and Marketing. Bill brings more than 30 years of experience in technology and senior-level leadership to SSi. His previous roles include leading the marketing effort for the Optical Transmission Division at Alcatel. Bill started his career with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His most recent experience was developing SMB business for one of the tier one resellers, PC Connection. His understanding of the SMB business challenges will help position SSi to deliver the right business solutions. He received his Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science from SMU in Dallas, TX.

Tom Cavanaugh joined SSi team in June of 2009 to provide IT leadership to SSi and SSi Clients. Tom brings the experience of aligning with the business leaders to deliver technology solutions from strategic roadmaps to custom software to drive competitive advantage. Tom’s previous roles include leading the development of healthcare systems at RISCORP Inc. and Liberty Mutual Inc. CIO roles at Sunglass Hut International, Philips Electronics, and Liberty Mutual give Tom a broad and deep understanding of what it takes to establish strong, value added partnerships. Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, S.C.
